Lydia’s Organics Sprouted Cereal
Lydia’s Organics Sprouted Cereal is made from buckwheat and quinoa, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds, almonds and cinnamon. There is no added sugar and every ingredient is sprouted and organic. Unlike other cereals on the market, this one is made from the highest quality whole foods with bioavailable nutrients. It’s low glycemic, making it the perfect addition to a balanced diet, especially for people with diabetes. It’s crunchy texture makes it pair well with fresh fruit and organic yogurt (if you can tolerate dairy), with coconut milk as a cereal and as a topping for smoothies (optionally add cacao nibs, goji berries, coconut flakes and bee pollen).
Native Forest Coconut Milk
When I don’t have time to make my own nut milk, this pure coconut milk straight from the can (BPA free) is my go to. It is thick and creamy just like full fat dairy milk, with a subtly sweet flavor that makes any meal or drink taste extra delicious. I recommend it to all of my clients who are dairy-free as it has no nasty additives. After opening, pour the contents into an airtight mason jar and store in the fridge for 5 days to a week. Use it in your tea, coffee, smoothies, steel cut oatmeal, chia pudding and curries.
Muso Green Pea & Mungbean Chips
These chips are light and crisp with a mild flavor that pairs perfectly with a spread of tahini and a spot of raw local honey (a little combination I invented and am hooked on). You can also eat them with your favorite dips: guacamole, baba ganoush and hummus. Free of gluten and made from only 2 ingredients: peas or mung beans and sea salt, they are the perfect snack for the health conscious and for entertaining. Legumes are naturally a good source of plant protein and loaded with fiber, keeping you feeling satiated for longer.
Traditional Medicinals Roasted Dandelion Root Tea
For daily detoxification, I drink roasted dandelion root tea. I love the rich, nutty and subtly sweet flavor. It’s 100% organic and scientifically formulated to ensure results. Our livers work hard to manage exposure to toxins in our food supply and environment every single day, it’s the least we can do to help them out!
SeaSnax
SeaSnax are a great way to satisfy a salt craving. I recommend them to clients for a rich source of minerals, especially iodine to assist the thyroid gland in making adequate levels of T4 and T3 hormones. Seaweed is alkalizing and detoxifying, keeping your body balanced and healthy. This brand is superior to others because it is organic and uses high quality olive oil and sea salt for roasting and flavor. I pack seaweed when traveling, as it can be hard to come across fresh salads and vegetables at airports. That way I know I am getting the hit of minerals I need to maintain my wellbeing. Even kids love this snack!
