Plan on Heading to Australia in the future? Be sure to put Manly + These healthy finds on your list...
As much as I adore living in the beautiful SF Bay Area, I always love returning back home to my country where all my special family and friends are. On my recent visit, I had some amazing wellness-enhancing discoveries that I simply had to share with you. Here is Part 1: Manly, Sydney (stay tuned for Part 2 coming next week)...
Healthy travel tips to keep you feeling vibrant on your trip:
Stay beach side at The Sebel hotel with stunning ocean views from your room. The beds are super comfy and you can sleep to the peaceful sound of the rolling waves.
Eat at Ora for the healthiest meals in town! I personally loved the tasty Kitchari Dahl (A Healing Bowl) and their warming chai tea with homemade almond milk. Other great eateries to try include: Hugos (they do an yummy Barramundi fish dish and are located right on the wharf), Fika Swedish Kitchen (serving a hearty veggie soup with warm hospitality), The Boathouse Shelly Beach (perfect for a delicious brunch and fresh squeezed green juice right by the water), and Hemingway's Manly (the best kale and quinoa salad around - be sure to add chicken).
Shop at Manly Food Co-operative, oFarm Organic Grocers and Manly Health Foods for all your favorite nutrient dense whole foods. Be sure to find my favorite Coyo coconut yogurt. I would visit one of these stores each day to get a bottle of kombucha and stock up on healthy snacks, especially for the long flight home.
Drink at The Little Manly Juice Co. for beautifully crafted cold press juices that will nourish your body and mind. Perfect pre or post work out.
Get physical by swimming in the refreshing ocean, going for a relaxing coastal walk, surfing, paddle boarding or one of my favorites, by doing hot yoga at Power Living (make note: be sure to pack a towel and large bottle of water as you will certainly sweat - a lot!)
For my coffee loving friends be sure to hit up Showbox Coffee Brewers for a lovely cup of the finest to start off your morning.
ENJOY this little piece of paradise located just over the water from Sydney. Via ferry is the best, cheapest and most scenic way to visit. Also, be sure to sign up for my monthly newsletter packed with extra health + wellness tips!
